Default Machine Gun Corps MGC

Hi,

Please could someone with knowledge of MGC badges advise if this one is genuine or fake?

Having looked at various posts, I cannot reach a conclusion about the die stamping of the badge as to whether genuine or not....

Also, the metal on this badge seems to be thinner than on a genuine one (i.e. thinness of slider) meaning that it is perhaps a copy. However there is a crimp mark on it, which could mean that is is genuine?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

I have a silver MGC collar badge, which I think that it is dated 1919
[belonged to my Gfather - the only MGC badge he had)

From the photographs, I too, think it is a perfectly original and nice example.
