Another RUC variant?

Hi guys,

Can anybody confirm this badge's use please? ideas so far are a variant of the UHG cap badge or an RUC motorcycle helmet badge?

Its cap badge sized, voided below the crown but not between the strings, K/C and has very sharp tangs.
