Default Fifth Dragoon Guards Badge

Hello,
Could the experts in the British section once again kindly help me with regards to this Fifth Dragoon Guards badge. I would be interested to learn if this badge is original or fake. If it's original then in what time period was the badge worn and by whom (Officer or Soldier) and whether it's a hat or collar badge. The badge measures 38 mm in height and 28 mm in width. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry, but presently the badge is unavailable for sale.
Many thanks,
Invest

Hello Luke,
Many thanks for letting me know it's a fake, as I was unsure whether it was or not.
Cheers,
