I’ve done a lot of house clearances and this is fairly common. People genuinely do not know what they’ve got, good or bad!
I do not believe the seller means any intention of selling fake badges as authentic. It’s a game ... look after yourself! |

Fakes amongst originals
Apart from the previously mentioned 1 RDM there is also a white metal King Edwards Horse cap badge, as Laurie Archer said when he put together the chapter on fakes in K&K, a badge that never existed in white metal, once I see one of these amongst a lot of badges I immediately am on my guard.
