Default An instant Collection of CEF Badges

New to the forum and completely amazed at the detail and beauty of these badges. I have mainly collected and dealt in US military items for the last 30years. This is a collection of 107 CEF badges that was purchased with a WWI US soldiers group. Looks as if he collected them during the war. All are stamped metal, no castings. about 50% being cap badges the others collar and shoulder badges. Only a couple officer styles. Some are maker marked.

I thought I would share. If anyone wants me to post a closer view, just let me know. -Rob

Hi Rob, Nice accumulation of badges. A couple of them are militia badges, not CEF. The 91st badge was a militia badge but it was worn by the 91st contingent that formed the 16th Canadian Scottish Battalion. The 78th badge is for the Pictou Highlanders, again a militia unit. In the last frame, the ASC badge is a Brit one.
Are any of the badges maker marked?

Yes, a few are. III Regiment is Gaunt. I need to get a loop out to read the rest. I will post makers and units when I get a bit more time. Also, I messed up and posted this in the British badges, can you move it to the Canadian section?

I love the design of the 78th Pictou Highlanders badge. That 85th is a stunner!
