Spotting fake SAS badges
Despite my username, I am very new to collecting SAS badges and I am here to seek advice of this humble forum to gain wisdom on identifying fake SAS beret badges? How can you tell if a beret SAS badge is a reproduction, especially those 'aged' ones just tricks me? Is there a specific element on the badge I should be looking out for? Please let me know in the replies!
I predominantly collect WWII era RAF gear especially the caps and badges but I have taken in a fascination with the SAS after my getting know more about them! I am excited to be on this forum! All the best, |

Search the forum for James and Alan Goldsmith, ebay username vongold (one of the many aliases they use) as they seem to have an never ending supply of special forces insignia many of which are SAS related. You will find all are fake.
It may be a lot of work, but you will then easily recognise the most obvious replicas. |
