interested on comments for this -has a blackened back with obvious untidy soldering [not soldiering]-please no profanities!

Looks like a cast copy to me, age unknown and whatever the original fixings were, they have obviously been replaced more recently.

Its a cast of a fake to be precise but ultimately still a fake. You often find these soldered to those hooky Pakistan/Indian made bugles.

Looking at this badge there are traces of lead solder on the top of the flames and on the lower edge of the grenade, I would say this was on one of those rubbish bugles and been removed, new loops soldered on and now with someone else.
