Default Silver metal Royal Fusiliers

Gents, I have several Royal Fusiliers on sliders in brass, all circa WW1. However I also have this example in silver metal with lugs.

Does anyone have any info on what this may be attributed to?

1st VB Royal Fusiliers? Or did they have a scroll beneath?
I have W/M one, I think with N/S lugs though perhaps W/E, I can't remember which of the VBs its labelled as.

Did 1st to 4th Battalion the London Regiment wear a WM badge?

Ta, I suspect I've got mine labelled at the moment as probably 3rd VB having read the suggestion somewhere.

Royal Fusiliers VB Officers wore bullion badges in their FSC/Forage caps, never silver.

Could be 4th, they were formed in 1904 I think, so KC era. 3rd wore the QVC version and probably KC. 1st & 2nd wore KC with numbered scrolls.

Has anyone ever seen wm KC collars?

Churchill states in his book that the KC RF collar for ORs was not sealed until 1914, which also likely explains why none are seen on those short sliders for the fsc.

I’ve never seen a 2nd V.B. numbered scroll cap badge either.

P.S. does anyone know what the RF Militia badge in BM sold for at Bosley’s recently?
