Default 9th London ,Queen Victoria's Rifles query

Can anybody offer any guidance on my query .
The Officers boss badge just St George and the Dragon is for the red round boss. I have a QC version ,I know there is a KC of the same .

But there is also a mini version of the cap badge for the boss, both KC and QC. K&K says its mounted on a red cord boss. Is this correct ?

My train of thought is that it's for the Busby,so is the busby boss a round red one ? My thinking is it would be an oval boss in black or dark green.

Pure guesswork - a black oval, as for a predecessor unit?

That's what I thought Leigh. I couldn't see a red boss on a Busby.
They had an affiliation to the KRRC.

A nice cap, but not a miniature of the cap badge?

Am I misinterpreting the original post being a query re. a miniature version of the cap badge which I'm thinking of as St George and the dragon etc on the cross and which Mike suggests may have been worn on the rifles cap?

I was just showing Mike’s “I know there is a KC of the same”. (St George & Dragon).

But the query is really about the mini version of the blackened cap badge! Which I can’t help with.

The badges I'm referring to are K&K 2407 kc and 2408 QC. The notes state red cord boss. This is wrong to me.
Later in reference to the crowned St George and Dragon ,it states a small cord boss. No colour mentioned.
This is the one I have.
If anybody has a 2408 that they dont want I'd be very interested.

Now I get it - i was reading "there is also a mini version of the cap badge for the boss" as meaning a mini version of the St George and Dragon on cross cap badge was worn on a boss rather than there being a mini version of the St George and dragon boss badge being worn on a boss.

So I was thinking of a badge similar in appearance to this one (which is to a different unit).

Another "seagull mission" (fly in, squawk and flap around a lot, **** all over the place and **** off) accomplished by me Im afraid.

The 'small version of the cap badge' comes with loops and cord boss wires in pretty much every finish.

There are also two versions, one with Queen Victoria's and another with Queen Victoria's Rifles around the circle.

Leigh mate. There is a mini version of the cross badge for the boss. Available in KC and QC.

Ta, I was getting it 'round my neck, thinking that was the badge you meant.
