Default 7th Bn Hampshire Regiment with crown

I need some expert advice please. When did the 7th Bn badge acquire a crown?
Was this when the Hampshire Regiment became royal in '47?
Is this a good badge and what is a sensible price?

Very many thanks as always

Nick

In Ron’s dreams I expect. Look at the loops on it and the finish, it’s uber modern.

You'd have to be blind to not see this for what it is.

In that case I clearly need glasses! Luckily I have the forum to put me right before I spend my pocket money. Thanks again folks.

The officers' pattern did have a crown and they're as rare as hen's teeth, usually £300+

I'd like to see better pictures of the rear.

Now that is truly lovely Keith.

Clearly that served as the inspirations for another of Ron’s DIY jobs.

I don’t hold out much hope for the one in opening post, that crown for a start, that’s without even knowing who the seller is either.

It’s another part of the ‘Ron collection’ which has been much discussed on the Middlesex Footballers and other threads.

As per before being sold on eBay by Mr ‘Lovely Old School Badge’ seller who got lumbered with the collections tripe by sounds.

It’s clearly made up with very, very modern loops and super fresh OSD finish.
