London Regiment Territiorial Shoulder Title
Hi All,
I've got this shoulder title on it's way to me, I know it's the territorial battalion of the London Regiment but that's all I know about it. Can anyone tell me what cap badge would have gone with it please? Thanks a lot, Michael |

Michael,
Nothing worn with them, thats all. Introduced in 1920 and although worn on SD more often seen on overcoats. Yours being once blackened indicates a Rifles Bn. regards

Thanks very much for the help everyone and for pointing out the thread JT.
So am I right in thinking it would have been a blackened rifle brigade cap badge (like the one in the attached photo I found on ebay) that the person wearing this shoulder title would have worn? Thanks again, Michael |

Generally yes but the 18th Bn London Irish wore a silver badge but with black badges and buttons.
Your badge is the 17th Bn but the 19th, 6th, 16th etc would also have worn black titles. |

Thanks Alan,
I picked it up for a good price and wanted to put a cap badge with it but wasn't sure which to get. It was one of those buy it now, work it all out later deals. Michael |
