It is an officer's badge, whether genuine or not, I don't know. It looks very new for something that is more than 60 years old. There seems to be quite a few of these 'mint' QC officer badges coming up on dealer sites but it may also be that there were lots in stores when the brigade system came into being and then the RSF getting amalgamated.
Cheers,
Alex

Thanks Alex.
Will treat this one with caution.
