Default Interesting helmet plate

This badge made me laugh initially with the AA badge stuck on to the plate with blue tack but then i looked behind the blue tack. The back plate is genuine but has modified as the holes for the original EW loops have been neatly filled and shows some severe signs of polishing. Very strange item. Probably be worth more if they took the badge off the front!

Just had a look - the link is now to another "funny".
Someone got a job lot of plates and stuck whatever badge on the front?
What was the AA badge? Just the winged wheel cut from the top of the car badge (I found one of those in my junk box yesterday).

AA as in Anodised Aluminium? I thought you meant AA as in Automobile Association like this, didn't recognise the horse as being in anod rather than w/m.
Time I visited AA as in Alcoholics Anonymous perhaps.
