Nice display. They certainly had quite a selection.
Here is my only SAC Medical badge . It is more like your Victorian badge with the red felt visible through the cut out cross. I guess that there are other variations Regards Mike |

The Victorian badges for the BP should have white, silver and red enamel centres, you would certainly not expect to see a cross formed of red "felt" on any original.

Hi Frank,
Now you mention it, it does look as if the centre backing was replaced. Regards Mike |

I don't know much about SAC badges but the KC versions seem to often have the voided centre and I've never seen one of those which an enamel backing, they all seem to have a velvet backing. Seems unlikely that they all lost the enamel back plate?

Hello Mike,
I was talking about the Victorian badges, which, are, as shown, in the original post, in this thread, both distinctive and superb. Regards Frank |

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for sharing these. A really lovely selection, well done indeed. I don't have any to share at all but very much enjoy seeing these rare examples. Cheerio, Roy
