For the health of your wonderful collection, I would use some other form of catalogue / identification label. The adhesive on the little stickers will (eventually) harm the metal - particularly silver !

KLR, you are of course correct I did try white labels on string, but they completely spoilt the look of badges in their display cases. I am in the process of cataloging my collections the BW being only one of them. Will have to make a decision soon, when you remove the stickers they do leave a witness mark.

2nd Bn SNCOs glengarry badge.
A die-cast one piece back star made of Indian silver, a die-cast gm overlay secured to the star by a single nut and bolt. Separate silver sphinx soldered to the star through large sweat hole at the rear. Clumsy silver-soldering of St. Andrew to the voided centre, heavy gauge silver plated D shaped copper loops. Obviously Indian manufactured but a well worn and polished example shame about the broken star. |
