Royal Sussex
Hi,
I was watching this item recently online and wonder whether it is a genuine sand cast officer's badge. Clearly, it is not the correct pattern for an officer's silver and enamel badge, being as it is, based on either an OSD badge or an OR's cap badge, but I am wondering whether this could have been an expedient made in India, being easier than the correct, multi part badge to sand cast. I have seen an Indian made officer's beret with an embroidered badge in the style of an OR's so I don't think that the idea is inconceivable. It is also evident that it had been made with three loops to the reverse. It sold for more than I expected. I know that sand cast badges can be notoriously difficult to authenticate. All opinions welcome. Kind Regards, Pete |

I saw it, couldn't work out if it was some form of locally made badge and forgot to "watch" it - what did it go for?

Hi,
It was advertised as silver plate and enamel. I missed out and it went for £43.66. KR, Pete. |

Hi,
Is the consensus that this could be what it purports to be? Kind Regards, Pete |
