I'd just like to say that I don't read the Independent because I agree with their views I just love to read the letters as they're sooooo funny., written by a lot of closet Citiizen Smiths.

Yes, a very nice set of high DPI images, thanks for the link. I downloaded the lot and the other link that took you to another 100 pix.

There was one, I wash't sure what the cap badge was. Any idea?

Cheers

Simon.

Here's another one I thought was interesting. Take a look at the chap on the right and his left ST. Looks like a cap badge in lieu of the fact he has a helmet on. The badge looks like the South Lancs maybe.

Simon,
The only badge that I can think of like this is the Royal Dublin Fusiliers and I know that doesn't match the uniform.

Simon,

His tartan kilt does not look RDF but his cap badge does!
The shoulder titles look like the type used by Pal Battalions.

I'm pretty certain he's from the B.C. Scottish (16th Btn., CEF).

Yep, that's it. I'll add that to the file description. That's a rare one to find I imagine.

Cheers Enfant

Hi,
I am fairly sure you are right. When I looked at the outline of the badge it looked RDF, but when I enlarged it the shape had changed.
Your suggestion is much more logical.
Eddie

Yeah. I'm going through all the pix on that Independent article and I've found some nice battalions and regiments. A nice 6th Battalion DLI, with blackened badge.
