Default 1 Line Troop

This patch likely dates from the 80's or 90's. Any ideas as to the purpose / type of dress or actual date?

How big is it?
There was a patch for wear on the old work dress jacket, but it was quite different.
Will post a pic and dimensions later.

1 Line Troop still exists as 1 Line Squadron, part of the Canadian Forces Joint Signal Regiment.
