Default 1942 Para Beret?

Look at this one:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ORIGINAL-...97.m4902.l9144
Is it too good to be true? Indeed it is a fake. Please steer away!

Something fishy about the inspection mark.

It is not an original Kangol maroon beret from 1942, I'm sure the seller knows.
The number of dots on the diamond are not correct. The date letter is not correct for 1942. The top of the diamond should point to the ribbon knot. The fabric of the liner is not correct.

Need I go on?

I see no stitching and the beret could very well be an old genuine private purchase maybe from the late 50s or 60s (large crown). What's quite remarkable is the effort made to reproduce the markings. The font is not an exact match fortunately but close enough. This could well foul someone with not enough knowledge or documentation. Of course the inspection letter is the wrong one in addition to the other details spotted by Steve and Luc.
Does anyone know the seller?
