Hi Mike,

Could the chrome plated badge be nickel plated? I think chrome plating was only commercialized in the 1920s.

Some wonderful items you have. Any chance of some pics of the backs of these badges?

And if anyone has any further examples, I for one would love to see them.

Hi Roy.....

Sorry but they are all in frames as shown below......

I can tell you that they ALL have wire loops soldered to the reverse.......

I will look on some of my old photo files and see if I have a picture though.....

Nice find indeed.
The Canadian Scouts had some interesting characters, Major Gat Howard, their CO, who was murdered by the Boers and his successor, the rather dubious Major Charles Joseph Ross DSO.
