Bought over the last couple of weeks.
Thought I'd share these few, think they look OK, though no real idea about the Rough Riders badge, any comments appreciated.
Tony.

Nice little Rough Riders right-hand collar badge.

A nice original lot. The RR collar was also worn on the beret in WW2.

That's great thanks for further information and confirmation on RR badge.

CB, it was the left-hand collar badge that was worn as a beret badge, the one in the opening post is a right-hand one.

I'm lucky enough to have been given - by a retired King's man - his collar badge (with horse to our left) that he wore on his beret.
I've heard of other regiments doing the same. |

Presumably wearing the wrong facing collar dog on headgear was an individual's economy measure.
I have an early 1950's R Innis Fus officer's caubeen with the correct gilt and silver collar badge and his dark blue beret worn set up like a caubeen, with the badges mirror image mate on it (admittedly the only difference in the badges is the direction the little flag on the castle's flying). |
