When is a castle not a castle, when its a keep!

Here's a few different types of insignia worn by the Northumberland Hussars based on the Norman keep in "Newcastle". The two at the top are collar badges, notice the chimneys are handed. Far right a collar of the imperial yeomanry although both types are seen worn in the attached post card.Far left the N.C.O.'s arm badge. Finally the undress sabretache device, I was lucky enough to buy the reverse stamping dye of this badge from E bay. All the collars are lugged east/west, the arm badge east/west/north the two part badge has thread fittings. In the second photo you can just make out the staff sergeant,s wearing arm badges on their cuffs, the one front left a small collar size badge , the man next to him the full size N.C.O.'s badge. The bulion arm badge was worn by the N.H. Squadron of the Q.O. Yeomanry which I purchased from the Sargeants Mess in Fenham Barracks Newcastle late 1980's. The mould of the sabretache badge was found at a derilect badge works in B'ham bought from Ebay. Cheers Sean.

Is your NH NCO bullion badge the small one for No2's or the large one for mess dress, as I'm after a mess dress one.

Hello Barry, its the large size one, bought from the Sergeants Mess QOY Fenham Barracks, Barrack Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne. At the time about 15 years ago they had the one shown and a white cotton on khaki. Cheers Sean.

Very nice badges indeed. This is one Yeomanry regiment that is unfortunately not represented in my collection. I intend to remedy this situation!
