Default 83rd Overseas Battalion, Queen's Own Rifles of Canada

I thought I'd post this as I've just sorted through a few sweethearts and lapel badges of various types.
A nice little badge, I picked it up on 21/8/1984 in an antique shop in Peterborough, England.
At that time it wasn't that uncommon to meet old ex-servicemen who'd served during WWI, for some reason quite a few seemed to have been in Canada and joined Canadian units in their youth.
