Hello Corey,

What a truly magnificent collection you have there, thank you so very much for sharing it with us here.

I can honestly say that I have only ever seen a handful of NZ sweetheart badges, so am quite taken aback at your collection. Have you thought of putting these individually in an album? I for one can see many that I would like a closer look at - your 'teddy' avatar for one!

Thank you and well done!

Cheerio,

Roy

H Corey

Many thanks for sharing your wonderful and extensive collection with us. I think that sweetheart badges are often overlooked and very collectable badges. These badges always remind me of the very personal and special relationships between a soldier leaving for the front and the loved ones they were leaving behind.

I am especially touched by the one depicting a rifle with the soldier's serial number.

Cheers

John

Hello John

They are only a sideline thing with NZ ww1 badges the main focus, but they do add up over time.
Most are stamped 9ct or silver and that adds to the story of the badge too.

I would agree they have a personal touch and that's what makes it all the more interesting.
Cheers
