Hi Ian, Unfortunately, this was not a home workshop repro, but a small trophy plaque making outfit. I think they are using a vacuum molding process, which is incredibly detailed and accurate. There are some imperfections on the face, but they are not easy to spot. The best indication is the back of the badges. The badge and lugs appear to be molded at the same time, not lugs being applied afterwards. There are other traits, which I can't remember off the top. http://www.dracks.com/

Point taken Bill - certainly no home workshop! If they are making things to that quality level then surface of the badge is likely near perfect. I'm surprised that they are not more concerned with their public image - whether or not they are open about it, their products have no obvious indication of being replicas and thus they are helping fraudsters rip collectors off. Shows a complete lack of care and integrity.
