Andy, I didn't say examples on ebay are necessary replicas!
And my comments were far from hasty, I've been studiying these for quite a while. The example with the cast fault, yes that is a good one I have one with solid provenance too and I know of some other examples that have been dug up from the Market Garden battle fields.

Now for your badges, with a quick search I found 15 of them on ebay right now. Five of them were discribed as replicas, others were from sellers like bestmessdress and brigadeuk: 2 fine suppliers of genuine WWII fridge magnets and more...

There is one good one with the cast fault on ebay, has been for sale for a while since it is a bit overpriced. Also there is a good one without cast fault on ebay for weeks now as it is very overpriced.

Andy, I'm pretty sure that if I can find them as a non-native English speaker you can find them as well without my help.

I didn't say you were English, but I assume you are a native English speaker.

Yes we do, but not in Germans as a rule of thumb. And since the British Pound has devaluated so much during the recent credit crunch the UK is like a flea market for us eurozoners so we are laughing all the way to the bank.

Please try to find them without my help Andy. I'm reluctant to give away my ebay trade secrets.

Default additional versions AAC badge

Luc,
Apart from the five originals you mention, I like to add a sixth, namely the officers bullion wire version.
Also apparently in cast brass, made in North Africa, and a Canadian white metal die-stamped version with 'square' lugs.
Your comments will be appreciated.

Rgds,
fougasse1940.

Default Army air corps or cap badge

Hello Gentlemen,
I present my Army Air Corps OR white metal cap badge that I believe to be an original, it shows some wear in particular on the AAC letters. In my possession for long time and long before eBay was existing! Your thoughts are welcom. J-F
