Now that's showing off! What a plate. Again the back plate would presumably have been fire-gilt perhaps with silver plated mounts

yes silver plated mounts but on gilt sadly

What's the difference between gilt and fire-gilt? The inference I guess is that fire-gilt is to be preffered.
