Default 9th Div thistle question

Is there any evidence of personnel of the 9th Division wearing a silver bullion version of the thistle (on the usual dark blue circle) formation sign at any time in the division's existence? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks. I ask because I have this, acquired from an extensive collection of Scottish militaria. It's 2 inches (50mm) in diameter. It could be something other than 9th Div, of course.
