Default Rank Chevron Question

Within a small group of Australian items were these two pieces. Can anyone tell me what the rank chevron at left denotes? In particular the triangular device above the stripes? Thanks Jack

It properly denotes a crown as in a Staff Sgt or Colour Sgt rank.

Thank you Jerry for that quick response. Would have never figured it as a representation of a crown. Best jack

I have one in which the crown looks like a coffin!

It may also represent a Field Gun for a Royal Regiment of Artillery Sergeant.
