Default Commando Knife

This was a birthday present from the Family. All opinions and observations are most welcome. The cross guard is stamped SHEFFIELD over ENGLAND and is an alloy of some sort.

Happy Birthday Mark,

Irv is correct. This is a commercial post-war Third Pattern dating from around the 1970's or so.

If you would like to read more about the original war-time third pattern I will add my link below:

Cheers, Roy.

Thank you all for the Birthday greetings, and comments, I should have mentioned that it is a late present.

Roy, thank you for the link. I did try to consult you web site but failed, the reasons being, twice I was taken to two different porn sites, once it loaded but was unstable, the fourth time it froze my machine. At least this time I managed to read some of the data on the third pattern before it went away.

So I now have a post WW2 produced third pattern Fighting Knife made in Sheffield around 1970.

I shall ascertain what they paid for it.

Marc

Hi Marc,

Sorry about the website challenges. The site got hacked a short while ago. It took a few days to sort but I believe all is working without issue now.

Cheers, Roy.

If you are looking to collect WW2 FS knives then Roy's site is the best place to visit. We are more than happy to weed out the bad from the good.
