Default Buffs Sussex mix

I suspect this is an amalgamation as there seems to be some features of The Buffs and Royal Sussex regiments. Can you ID it please?

Anodised aluminium or new metal? Prior to PWRR wear the same design was worn by The Queen's Regiment (worn in facing pairs).
