"Scroll" badges of the West York Militia, what was worn by which one?
Hello,
There were the 1st - 6th West Yorkshire Militia. If I am informed correctly, so called "scroll" headdress badges were worn on the pillbox cap by the Militia 1858 -1874. I have seen a photo of such a scroll badge with FOURTH WEST YORK, obvious who used it. I have also seen a photo with WEST YORK. Does anybody know which of the six militia regiments used this rather general design? Thanks in advance.
