The QVC 4th Hussars is a good fake, I was nearly caught out by one a few years back. You’ll notice the lettering is ever so slightly rounded at the ends, seeding slightly coarse and the loops are modern footed variety.

Those points aside these are very convincing fakes with excellent reverse detail and well detailed crowns etc. they lack many of the tell tale signs of the obvious repros.

For Victorian cavalry I highly recommend Chipper’s album as a guide on what to look for.

Hi, With regards to the bullion Eagle badge of the Royal Dragoons it is an arm badge of the Blues and Royals. Jim Lees ex-Royals.

The poor Hannover horse in the first photograph appears to have been subject to severe tail docking, less of a charger, more of a draft.

The Victorian 4th Hussars is a poor fake, obvious from the materials and manufacture used, without the need to look too much at the details, however, upon actually doing so, the crown is completely wrong in both it's shape and details, in addition, the badges white metal centre is flawed and lacks the fine detail that originals have.

Neil,

Your right the bottom 5th Lancers is a dud .

Only the first example of your 7th Hussars grouping is good

Cheers
