Default Royal Pakistan Engineers

Can anyone provide a reference as to the date range this badge was worn. Although Pakistan achieved independence in August 1947, it remained a dominion until March 1956. Thanks.

I assume they inherited that from the pre independance Indian Engineers (formed 1911?). As far as I know it was made Royal Indian Engineers later in 1946.

When that is correct, it is no wonder that both corps, after the split, would claim the Royal status.

I have the same problem defining the actual years of use for my Royal Pakistan Artillery badges and Shoulder titles. I thought it was only two years and then no “Royal” Anyone care to set me straight? Regards, David J.

Thumbs up

Thanks to all the feedback and a big BRAVO ZULU to Mike for the pictures and web site info. I tried the same for the Indian Engineers...Nothing, at least I couldn't find anything, but then it must be said that I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to IT stuff.
