This formation badge may be from Malaya. Any help would be most welcome.

I wonder if it was a numbered 'trial' pattern that was rejected ?

The Division patches all have their logo but are distinguished by their Division number , with the different Brigades each having their own badge/logo there would be no need to have a number.

It was approved in 1964. Not seen one before and now two in one day.

No, a picture of the first one was sent to me and it has been folded and worn. I found the second one (ebay) while trying to find an answer.

I just assumed that the picture in post #1 was the actual patch you were trying to identify , if you'd linked to the eBay one (or posted a pic of the rear) it would have helped.

So , does the photo that was sent to you show the rear of the patch ?
