Default Unknown Wyvern collar

Hi all,

This looks like a police service collar to me rather than Wessex connected army collar/beret badge but rather than wonder over to the Forum.

GM and is 35x29mm and missing a lug.

Doesn’t eat much, house trained and answers to Egbert, cheers Dean

It is not a police badge, collar or otherwise that I am aware of.

Dave.

I thought police badges were usually sliver metal? If so, that would rule that out.

Mooke, pretty sure that's a girl I dated in high school!!!

That badge makes me think of one of the railways badges from way back. I seem to remember posts of a one of the UK railway areas with the looped tailed wyvern.
Cheers,
Alex

What you are thinking of is the Midland Railway. However, the design was totally different.

No, unfortunately, I havn't a clue what it is.
Had it since January 1992 and still none the wiser.
I bought it at a large antique fair in Peterborough, the dealer wasn't local and had no idea what it was. I somewhat naively thought it may be a Wessex OTC badge.

Leigh

There was not an OTC of that name but it is Somerset related and local to me.
If you ever want to move it on then do let me know.
