Thank you, Stephen... yes, I am aware of acorn top of the early pattern Staffordshire helmets, unfortunately in this helmet's 170 plus years life it has gone missing and the current plume a slightly later period replacement. The Hampshire Carabinieri helmet, aside from the leather to the chin chain is near flawless. If you are a helmet guy you can see other helmets in my collection in the "album" section on this site titled "British and Commonwealth Dragoon Helmets"...

Again, thank you and best regards,

David

Hello, Chris,

Hello Stephen,

Thank you so much for sharing images of your Queen's Own Royal (Staffordshire) Yeomanry helmet. Yours is a really terrific example and in gorgeous condition! Are you a helmet collector and if so, what other helmets make up your collection? I have a couple of new additions to my collection in shipment from the United Kingdom, a marvelous example of an officer's helmet of the Fife Light Horse and equally nice example of a trooper's helmet to the Royal Berks Yeomanry Cavalry. I will be posting pictures of these two helmets when they arrive.

Again, thank you for sharing your helmet with me, it is a really very nice helmet!

Kind regards,

David
