He came to Cyprus while I was based there.
I was going to attend his performance but unfortunately I was unavoidably detained at ESBA where I was performing (jankers).

served many tours with 2nd Bn Fusiliers was in Belfast when this happened Government should be ashamed gutless MPs the lot

I must admit that I am rather surprised by this, I can only assume that the majority of the evidence was actually obtained by Lord Saville's team, actually from those under investigation.
If that is the case, then, those men were given assurances that legal proceeding against them would not follow as a result of any statements made by them, otherwise they would be incriminating themselves, I think it is safe to assume those assurances were made in writing beforehand.
