Order of Precedence - Yeomanry/TA?
Hi All,
I'm currently trying to get together examples of yeomanry and TA cap badges currently in use today. I have the order of precedence for the yeomanry (from 1914 list in Gaylor's), but am wondering where the London Regiment units should be in the order of things? Also, are there still two different cap badges in use by Honourable Artillery Company (arm with wings and flaming grenade)? Any tips, very greatly appreciated! |

I'm also trying to finish off my 'current issue' TAVR collection but am basing it on that shown in K&K vol 2 with separate display for current London Regiments. K&K vol 2 says nothing about the HAC 'winged arm' badge not being current issue, Gaylor says post 1953 issue but it doesn’t look like it’s made in staybrite Take a look at this link it might be some use http://www.answers.com/topic/territorial-army-2 Cheers John |

I know this link is AGES old, but since others may search for this, I'll put you right on it. The HAC badge in current use is the w/m (non-staybrite) mailed fist with sword and dragon's wings. This is worn on the beret. On the peaked no. 2 dress cap, an all-silver (coloured) A/A flaming Grenade is worn. On the busby (for band) the large brass busby badge is worn.
Senior NCOs can wear the badge seen in my avatar with No. 2 peaked cap. Officers wear an embroidered version of the mailed fist. Regards Tom |
