This badge was made by

Nice badge.
Yeah that type lug unique imo to Webb. Do think they made much
Dave Butler would be the best to corroborate.
Sturrock I’m assuming was Jim Sturrock. Made some really nice high end Masonic badges etc. and made some trash.
Used to buy directly from him many years ago.

Hi, to the best of my knowledge, all the Tank Corps badges, cap and collar, had that lug as well. Some British WW2 badges also had that lug which I always had assumed was some type of electrical connector being utilised, best wishes Mike

Hi, had reason to look at my Australian Armoured Corps badges and found my black collar was named to Angus&Coote, this is the only named badge I have, same lugs horizontally placed, hope this helps in some way, Mike

Hi, here are photos of a British electrical connector lug on a tank badge WW2 and the Australian type. As you can see there are slight differences, mainly the British one has more rounded edges and is white metal. What I would call a proper electrical connector, the Australian one has many similarities, not at all what one would call a standard lug, hope this helps, Mike P.S. Jackhr what happened to your tank badge?
