Hello All
I have had a pair of City of Melbourne shoulder titles for many years but have never been able to positively identify them and have had varying opinions offered ranging from 64th City of Melbourne Regiment (1912-18), City of Melbourne Band, City of Melbourne By-Laws Officer etc. The titles are marked STOKES. Would anybody on the forum be able to positively identify them. Thanks in advance. Dennis |

Found a historical directory of Brass Bands , no mention of a "City Of Melbourne" one.
![]() Brass Bands of the World Checked Highland Pipe bands and there is a "City of Melbourne Highland Pipe Band" but it didn't take that name until 1978. (from 1918-1978 known as Melbourne Highland Pipe Band) Quote:

Had a pair of these..Sold them on eBay..
I Suspect these are the same ones... So called experts told me they were used by a band.. Despite the fact that when I found them they were with 8 1927 era City of Melbourne Collar badges all with Oxidised finish.... Last edited by trueblue; 06-06-21 at 03:59 AM. |
