Default CEF - Lugs instead of blades

Has anybody noticed there seem to be some unusual BC CEF badges turning up on eBay?
They are for the higher numbered battalions - 121, 131, 158, 196.
The cap badges were originally made by OB Allan and I have only ever seen them with the folding blades on the back.
I am seeing these now with lugs, no sign of re-lugging, and no OB Allan markings.
Any thoughts?

Phil

Hi Phil,

The one in your link is made by Tiptaft (the lugs are characteristic of that maker).

Cheers, Ian.
