Hello mika1, To clarify your post, are you referring to No 1 Jewish Infantry Company, CEF? (Babin number 6-2.)

I've only seen a single collar last year at Ancaster gunshow, didn't bother asking dealer the price of it because his pricing is always outrageous.

This is a battle between two bidders. It will be interesting to see whose pockets are deepest.

God forgive me, but does anybody else see the irony in this badge being somebody's Christmas present to themselves?

Obviously people like to bid on opening day! To put all there cards on the table at once. The what the market will bare does not apply when people with deep pockets go to acquire something.

To set record prices in which they were to sell a year from now would probably not any where what they paid for them !

If they ever need instant cash and try to sell to an informed collector they will will be in for some shock and awe!

Beware of Instant Collection Buyers

IMHO

With the two large collections being broken up and sold, we are seeing some exceptional badges on offer. It may a long time, if ever, that such an opportunity to acquire so many rare badges comes along.
