Not something I collect but I like it.

The construction, materials and its appearance all strike me as original and period.

Officers glengarry badge 1881-c. 1894 and I think it a genuine.

That’s very interesting John, thanks for confirming.

Being ignorant of these from the shape I assumed it was a fur-cap grenade rather than a glengarry due to the flame shape and either an officers or SNCOs item.

Did officers wear this different flame pattern on the glengarry across the other Irish Fusilier regiments?

And again, a beautiful badge. Very envious.
