Can't say what it is, but it reminds me of the Westminster Gate. I know the Home Guard wore it in a badge in the second phase. Illustration 291 in Jon mills book on he HG. There are other badges that us the Westminster Gate, but I've not seen any that look like that.

Plenty of examples on line :
"A very good Kings Crown example of the silver plated belt buckle, as presented to those nurses qualifying from the Westminster Hospital in London." Westminster Hospital Belt Buckle .

Westminster nurses
Some years ago I was having some procedure done, probably a blood sample when I noticed the nurse had one of these belts on with a buckle like this one.
Being a bit of a fan of Westminster insignia I said "You trained at Westminster hospital", "how do you know" was the reply, I said "You can always tell nurses who trained there", to which the reply was again, "how do you know". I could not keep her in suspenders any longer and said "It's your belt buckle". She laughed and said she'd had the belt so long she had forgotten what was on the buckle. Rob |

Not all badges had a crown - Strangely the sweatshirts did.
Picture of my wife's WH badge is attached - reverse is hallmarked. |
