Thumbs up Help on Sword- 1788 British Light Cavalry Pattern

Hey guys!

I have been offered a sword up in Calgary and have until tonight to decide if I can buy it or not- I am hoping the sword is original and that why I have come to the members of the forum. I know this isn't our forte but it does make an interested display piece. Any ideas of originality/value? I compared it to some other 1788 patterns online and both the handle and sheath seem different.I hope General topics is a good place to put this thread in.

Anyway, here are pics- and once again thanks!
