Default SAAF Armament Instructor

Just picked up this badge after seeing this post a while back from Brian Conyngham http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ad.php?t=45174 about the Armament Instructor Badge.

Looking at the example reproduced at the top of his post (reproduced below) the bomb and gun are the opposite way around. Does anyone know if there was a 'correct' way? Also does anyone know yhe way it was supposed to be worn? (Bomb down & gun up or both down?)

My example seems to be hand made.
