RMLI Sweetheart Brooch
I don't collect many sweethearts but I couldn't resist this one!
It is in the form of an RMLI other ranks cap badge and is made of sterling silver. It is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1905. I bought it from BJ at RBJ Militaria and the photos below are his but used with his permission. Since acquiring it I have cleaned it and it looks a little beauty. Unfortunately the clasp on the pin fastening is broken but it's still a lovely little piece. It's also much lighter than it looks as the globe is hollow. Pete
