Trying to educate myself...
The seller describes this little lot as "Majority originals but maybe some restrikes." I can see quite a few that I would immediately be suspicious of;
RAF, ATS, Intelligence Corps, REME, 3rd Kings Own Hussars (plus a few others) all look to be very shiny for something supposedly around 75 years old - or am I wrong? Any particular howlers anyone can see in here? What proportion original/fake would you say this lot are? |

Most of the badges don’t look right, but buying unseen is very risky. But saying that I would risk £25 on the lot.

It's already double that, be interesting to see what they end up at.

Buying badges
Always difficult with a "group photo", nothing "rare" among this lot as far as I can see, although the A/A badges are probably OK along with some of the Corps and Line Regt badges.
Probably some fakes, although without close up of the backs and fronts individually you take your chance. Caveat emptor . . ! Rob |

These big bundles seem to make lots of money and always seem to have loads of broken badges which is great if you can repair them and cheaply and there always seem to be loads of dross and repros in these sorts of lots. I personally don’t bother with this type of thing but its interesting to see what they make.

Possibly just all bought for resale, or would the interest be that large Royal coat of arms badge - which isn't military, is it?

I've just spotted that there's one of the old Postie GPO cap badges in there as well
