Default on the other hand .....Liverpool Irish

(I put this in the wrong thread - better here)

I've just been looking at a genuine WO Pattern 11390/1939 Pattern Liverpool Irish OR badge, made by Firmin, with slider replaced by loops (fairly common).

However, according to the seller it is an officer's badge, made of silver, and dates to between 1914 - 1918.

There are also a number of illiterate sellers who don't know anything about badges nor the difference between brass and white metal - probably to confuse and waste the potential buyer's time!

A good buy but I do not want to put cash in this cretin's coffers.
